Spain have a score to settle with Palmer
Chelsea ace riled Spaniards in U21 Euros final
Spain vs. England will settle Euro 2024GettyWHAT HAPPENED?
It's unlikely that Palmer will start in Sunday's final but should the Chelsea star find himself on the pitch at any point, he might suddenly find himself being targeted by some of Spain's players. Palmer attracted a few enemies when he faced Spain in the U21 European Championship final last summer, sparking a brawl between players on both teams after gesturing towards the Spanish bench.

Palmer incensed Spain's players when he celebrated in front of their bench after scoring the only goal in last year's U21 final. A brawl erupted and England coach Ashley Cole was sent off, with Spain's Sergio Gomez criticising the then-Man City ace.
"He didn’t want to apologise or anything like some of his other teammates," Gomez, a teammate of Palmer's at the time, said.
WHAT'S BEING SAID ABOUT PALMER?
According to AS, Spain were driven 'crazy' by Palmer's 'arrogant attitude', which they haven't forgotten. So the chance to settle the score is one that the Spaniards are apparently looking forward to.

Sunday's encounter in Berlin will pit Luis de la Fuente's excellent Spain side against Southgate's confusing Three Lions, a team packed with immense talent but unable to discover their very best football thus far. And for Palmer, it's a chance to get one over Spain for the second year in a row.
