To avoid such a situation, they would now play their final game at their beloved home ground on May 18 against Southampton and the club are making efforts to ensure that it remains a standalone fixture.
Everton will shift their base to Bramley-Moore Dock at the end of the 2024-25 season bidding goodbye to the 131-year-old Goodison Park.
