Leeds United need a striker this month, there’s no doubt about that.
The Whites have just one senior number nine in their squad, and he’s not exactly in the best of form as he’s not scored in any of his last six appearances.

They say that beggars can’t be choosers, but it seems as if some Leeds fans haven’t heard that old adage as they’re dead against the idea of signing Oumar Niasse after Everton reportedly offered the Yorkshire club a chance to sign the Senegalese forward on loan.
Taking to Twitter after seeing the report, some supporters went as far as suggesting they’d still rather have Patrick Bamford.
Niasse hasn’t scored a league goal in over 12 months after failing to find the net during his loan spell with Cardiff City, but when he’s on form he’s a decent Premier League forward as shown by his eight goals in just 1083 minutes in the 2017/18 season – that’s a goal every 135.75 mins.
It was the 29-year-old’s form at the Bluebirds that was the centre of attention for one supporter on Twitter.
Consider the fact that Leeds fans were so excited by the prospect of signing Che Adams – a player who has never scored a Premier League goal, their view towards potentially bringing in Niasse makes no sense.
One fan stated that not even Bielsa could get anything out of the striker, but Marco Silva managed it in 2017/18, so why would a man previously hailed as the best coach in the world not be able to?
It remains to be seen whether or not Leeds sign Niasse, but he may not be as bad a signing as many United supporters are making out.
Some were briefer in their assessments but they were still incredibly damning, claiming that under no circumstances would they want the forward at Elland Road.
